Players in 4th - 5th grade will continue to play on traveling (recreational) teams, but will also have the option to try out for a tournament team that plays during the regular season. 

Traveling (recreational) teams are coached by a volunteer, usually a parent. Practices are twice a week, and they play eight games in the fall and eight games in the spring. Games are held on Saturdays and Sundays. Teams can also choose to sign up for extra tournaments for an additional fee.

The cost for the traveling teams for 2024-2025 is $195, which covers BOTH the fall and spring seasons. Uniforms are an additional charge, which is usually around $15 per jersey (home and away jerseys are required). Players will also need black shorts, black socks, shin guards, cleats, and a ball.

Tournament teams are coached by a parent coach who meets certain licensing requirements and experience with the game.  Teams will also play in 2 tournaments in the fall and 1 tournament in the spring. The additional cost for the tournament team for the 2024-2025 season is $120. Teams can attend additional tournaments with coaches approval but the cost is deferred to the players families. 

Should my child try out for a tournament team?

If your player is serious about soccer and wants to improve his/her skills, then a Tournament team might be right for your child. If your player is less experienced with soccer, a rec team might be more appropriate.
