4th - 8th Grade

4th Grade - 8th Grade

Players in 4th - 8th grade have two options - Rec and Competitive.

Recreational teams are coached by a volunteer, usually a parent. Practices are twice a week, and they play eight games in the fall and eight games in the spring. Games are held on Saturdays and Sundays. Teams can also choose to sign up for extra tournaments for an additional fee.

The cost for the recreational teams for 2023-2024 is $195, which covers BOTH the fall and spring seasons. Uniforms are an additional charge, which is usually around $15 per jersey (home and away jerseys are required). Players will also need black shorts, black socks, shin guards, cleats, and a ball.

Competitive teams are coached by a paid coach, who meets certain licensing requirements and experience with the game. Practices are twice a week, with eight games in the fall and eight games in the spring. Games are played on Saturdays and Sunday. Teams will also play in 2-3 tournaments in the fall and 1-2 in the spring, and the fees cover this cost. Teams can attend additional tournaments with coaches approval but the cost is deferred to the players families.

The base cost for the 2023 - 2024 season is $450, which includes club and referee fees as well as 4-5 tournaments.

An additional coach fee in the range of $300-350 may be added depending on the experience level of that team's coach. Competitive teams will be coached by parent coaches when available. When offers are sent for a competitive team, we will include coaching information if we know who will be coaching that team.

Uniform costs will also be additional.

Players are chosen for Competitive teams after a tryout session in the spring. For more information, see our Tryouts page.

Which team is right for my child?

If your player is serious about soccer and wants to improve his/her skills, then a Competitive team might be right for your child. If your player is less experienced with soccer, a rec team might be more appropriate.

It's also important to have conversations with other players/parents in your age group to see what their plans are since the number of players choosing Rec vs Competitive varies from group to group.
