Kindergarten - 1st grade - In House 
These players will practice together and scrimmage within their practice groups. There is no traveling at this age level.

2nd - 3rd Grade - Recreational
These teams will travel within the area to play teams from other clubs.

4th - 8th Grade - Competitive or Rec
These teams will travel within the area to play teams from other clubs. For competitive teams, players will have a qualified parent coach or a paid coach and play against more competitive teams within the Madison area.

HS Competitive Teams 
Players on these teams will have a certified coach and play against more competitive teams within the Madison area. Girls' teams play in the fall, and boys' teams play in the spring, so that they do not conflict with school-sponsored teams.

Birth Year vs Grade in School
US Soccer uses a player's birth year to determine in which age group a player belongs. However, as a small town club, we know that the kids prefer to play with their classmates.
Our plan for the 2022-2023 season is to continue to move the younger players in each grade up to the age group of their older classmates.
We can't guarantee that all kids will get to play with their classmates since there are other factors, such as number of players per age group,  that have an impact on where players are placed.
